A collaboration between the Center for Asian Arts and Media at Columbia College, the University of Chicago South Asia Language and Area Center, Third-I Chicago, and Chicago Filmmakers, this festival features the award-winning films and special features from the Film South Asia, an annual festival showcasing the best of the Subcontinent’s non-fiction films. This Thursday, March 29, and next Thursday (April 5), from 6 – 9:30 p.m., in Film Row Cinema, 1104 S. Wabash, 8th floor.
There will also be an ASIAN AMERICAN DIRECTOR’S PANEL on March 28, from 12 - 5 p.m., in Film Rown Cinema, 1104 S. Wabash, 8th floor. It is a panel featuring two talented Asian American directors! The event will begin with a screening of the panelists’ recent work prior to the panel discussion. The discussion will focus on the directors’ experiences as Asian Americans in the film industry and their insights into how to be a “successful” filmmaker. Q & A to follow.
